No matter how good they are, detectives cannot solve every case that is assigned to them. When a case is unsolvable for detectives, that is when Jessica King comes into play. King is a seasoned police officer who has become the lead investigator for Toronto's Major Crimes Task Force. King is asked to lead the unit following the televised meltdown of Det. Sgt. Derek Spears. The twice-divorced King is primed for any challenge thrown at her -- except when it comes to passing up a good shoe sale.
